What You Will Need Before You Start

Clean absorbent white towels
Oxygen bleach
Lemon juice

A lot of parents avoid using cleaning products like bleach around their little ones, even on their clothing. This can be a smart idea, especially with the avoidance of chlorine bleach. Oxygen bleach however can be a lot milder and be less of a potential irritation for your little one’s skin.

Swiftly blot up any freshly spilled formula stains using your clean absorbent white towel, or using paper towels.
Add a quarter scoop of oxygen bleach to your washing machine and set it onto the prewash or soak cycle. Alternatively you can soak the stain clothing in a sink filled with hot water, for up to fifteen minutes.
Observe the stain and if it has been thoroughly removed then you should be sure to launder it as per the care instructions on the tag.

If the stain is proving to be somewhat challenging on a white outfit then you can add a few drops of lemon juice directly to the stain. Set the garment out in the direct sunlight for up to an hour and then launder as per usual. Lemon juice is a natural and non-toxic bleaching agent that many parents find to be highly effective when they need to get baby formula stains out.

What You Will Need Before You Start

White vinegar
Liquid dish detergent
Baking soda
Clean sponge
Clean absorbent white towel

The carpets in our home take a beating, especially when a child is introduced into the household! Spilled baby formula can leave a sticky mess that not only quickly attracts dirt and grime but also starts to leave an unpleasant odor in the house. With just a few swift cleaning steps you can effortlessly get baby formula stains out, leaving your carpets clean and fresh.

Use a clean towel or paper towels to absorb freshly spilled formula from the carpet.
Make a cleaning solution using a cup of white vinegar and half a teaspoon of liquid dish detergent.
Blot the cleaning solution onto the stain, blotting it all around the stain until it has been absorbed by the fibers of the carpet.
Press a clean white towel firmly on top of the saturated carpet and lift up, the stain should lift up with the sudsy cleaning solution.
Sponge the area well with clean water so that you remove all of the suds from the carpet. If you don’t do this then you run the risk of leaving your carpets sticky and open to dirt and grime sticking to the suds as the carpet dries.
Once the suds have been remove press another towel down firmly on top of the damp carpet in order to remove as much of the moisture as possible.
Allow the carpet to dry thoroughly before allowing anyone to walk over it.
Once the carpet is thoroughly dry sprinkle a bit of baking soda over the previously stained area. Vacuum it up after fifteen minutes and you should be assured of a fresh smelling carpet.

Avoid using lemon juice and other potential bleaching agents on your carpet, unless of course your carpet is white in color. It is also typically advisable to do a colorfast test in a hidden area of your carpet.

Get Baby Formula Stains Out Of Uphosltered Furniture

What You Will Need Before You Start

White absorbent towels or rags
Clean sponge or paper towels
Rubbing alcohol
Baking soda

It can sometimes be a lot more challenging to get baby formula stains out of upholstered furniture, especially since you can’t wash it as easily as you can your clothing or carpeting. However, with just a few household basics, you’ll soon be able to get the stains and the smell out.

Blot up excess liquid from the upholstered furniture using white absorbent towels or white rags. It is important to use white so that you don’t inadvertently transfer color from the towel to the furniture you are trying to clean.
Dab a bit of rubbing alcohol onto a sponge or a paper towel and blot at the stained furniture.
Blot repeatedly until the stain has been removed.
Sponge at the area with a clean sponge and fresh clean water.
Press a clean towel or rag firmly on the damp furniture in order to draw up as much of the excess liquid as possible.
Allow the furniture to dry and sprinkle a bit of baking soda over it. Vacuum the baking soda up after fifteen minutes and your result will be clean and fresh smelling furniture.

You can certainly use a cleaning solution of oxygen bleach or liquid dish detergent and vinegar but it is important that you ensure you lift out the suds before allowing the furniture to dry.

Get Baby Formula Stains Out Of Plush Toys

What You Will Need Before You Start

Stain pretreating spray
Clean sponge

No matter how hard you try to keep your little one’s favorite plush toy clean, it is bound to get formula or chocolate milk on it at some point in time. A lot of the time you can simple sponge the stain out with water and that will be that. However for larger stains and stains that have dried, you may need to try something else to get baby formula stains out.

Saturate the stain with your preferred brand of stain pretreating spray or gel.
Allow the pretreating solution to work into the fibers of the plush toy fabric, for up to fifteen minutes.
Put the plush toy into the washing machine on a small load setting, with hot water and allow the cycle to complete.
Examine the toy before popping it into the dryer in order to ensure that the stain has been thoroughly removed.

You could also wash the plush toy thoroughly in the sink, using hot water. A lot of parents, however, prefer to let the washing machine do the heavy work for the sake of convenience.
