  2. Mix the solution well so the soap is evenly distributed throughout the water.
  3. Take a clean white cloth and dip it into the soapy solution. Ensure the cloth is completely saturated.
  4. Blot the stain with the dampened cloth.
  5. Continue to blot the stain until the soapy solution has been fully absorbed into the carpet.
  6. You should continue to repeat steps 3 through 5 until the stain is removed.

  10. Blot the stain with the dampened cloth.
  11. Continue to blot the stain until all of the solution has been absorbed into the fibers of the carpet.
  12. Repeat steps 8 through 11 until the stain has been removed.
  13. Flush the stained area with clean cold water. This will allow you to remove any of the cleaning solutions left on the carpeting. You do not want to leave any of the cleaning products on the carpet.

It never seems to fail, you are out at a picnic and you spill BBQ sauce down the front of your favorite blouse. Barbecue sauce stains can be difficult to remove if you let them sit and soak into the fabric for too long. Try and treat the stain as quickly as you can.

  1. First you will need to run cold water through the back of the garment. This will allow you to rinse away some of the stain without allowing it to bleed to other parts of the clothing.
  2. Apply a liquid laundry detergent directly to the barbecue sauce stain.
  3. Work the liquid laundry detergent into the fabric by rubbing it with your fingers. This will allow the detergent to penetrate and break the stain up.
  4. Allow the detergent to sit for about 5 minutes. If you have a more stubborn stain you can leave the detergent on the stain for a little longer.
  5. Again rinse the stain with clean water through the back of the garment.
  6. Apply white vinegar to a clean white cloth.
  7. Blot the stain with the dampened cloth. Continue to blot the barbecue sauce stain until it has been removed. You can change the cloth and add more white vinegar as needed.
  8. Once you have removed as much of the stain as you can, you will need to apply a prewash stain remover directly to the BBQ sauce stain.
  9. Launder the garment as you normally would only add chlorine bleach or color safe bleach if it is safe for the fabric.
  10. Inspect that stained garment. If the stain remains you can apply the liquid laundry detergent directly to the barbeque sauce stain and again rub it into the fabric with your fingers.
  11. Next, you will need to allow the stained garment to soak in a bucket of warm water for 30 minutes.
  12. Again launder the clothing.
  13. Inspect the stain. If the stain remains continue to repeat the stain fighting processes until the barbecue sauce stain has been removed.
