What You Will Need Before You Start

  • White clean towels or rags
  • Liquid dish detergent
  • Ammonia
  • Sponge

  1. Blot up as much of the juice liquid using your towels or rags. If the juice spill is very recent then you might actually be able to pull up the majority of the liquid, and not have much of a stain left to treat.
  2. If there is still a stain present then you should mix a tablespoon of dish detergent in a large bowl, with two cups of hot water.

  5. If the stain is more set into the fibers of the carpet and is proving more of a challenge to remove then mix a tablespoon of household ammonia in a bowl with two cups of hot water.
  6. Sponge at the stain and blot at it with a clean towel.
  7. Sponge the now cleaned area with fresh warm water and blot dry.

You could also use your carpet shampooer to clean up the stain, but it can sometimes just be a lot faster to work at the stain by hand.

  • Liquid laundry detergent

If there’s one thing about grape juice, it is almost certainly going to find its way onto your clothing or your children’s clothing. Knowing how to remove grape juice stains can save you a lot of frustration and prevent the sour grapes you’d otherwise have about this sticky sweet drink.

  1. Flush the stained garment with cold water.
  2. Fill the sink, or a bucket, with warm water and mix in a tablespoon of vinegar and a half teaspoon of liquid detergent.
