Removing Tomato Stains from Plastic with Detergent
Another way to remove tomato stains from plastic is to wash the plastic Tupperware with a sponge and dishwashing detergent. Before you wash the plastic Tupperware in hot water, rinse it out with cold water.
You should use hot water to remove the greasy residue which is left by the tomato sauce. Once this is done, rinse the plastic container with water and let it dry.

You can also soak your plastic containers in cold water before you add the tomato sauce. This will help to keep it from staining when you take it out. If the stains stay on your skin, you can use toothpaste to get rid of the odors.
